Once an inflatable artwork, titled ‘Anna’, she stood 8 feet tall like a sculpture. She traveled all over. Exhibiting at art shows and events in Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami Art Basel. When her body would inflate with air, she lit the room and brought smiles to viewers’ faces. She was Fashion, she was Vogue, she was Wintour.
As seasons change, new ideas bloom.
A new narrative has been created with - Winter is coming, Spring is here. As April showers bring May flowers, after a period of discomfort with the pandemic, it’s time to look forward to the joy of the new normal. It is an awakening of a new life by repurposing what was once to what is now.
The nylon fabric of the inflatable artwork has been hand cut and sewn to create numerous flowers that are all unique. A diverse assortment of hand-stitched flowers creating a new upcycled art piece that is an Edition 1 of 1. Commissioned by the founder of The Fixx Collective a sustainable fashion brand - this artwork has the same likeminded view of sustainability from fashion to art.
‘Summer is Coming’ will live on with the appreciation of what the previous art form once was.
